Oral Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is a program used to encourage the correct use/development of the function of the tongue and facial muscles in children and adults. Oral Myofunctional disorders can vary from a Tongue thrust and mouth breathing (lips apart/mouth open at rest) to Jaw malocclusions and Tongue Ties.

Oral Myofunctional Disorders can have a variety of etiologies, and addressing the root problem with OMT may help to remediate multiple issues at once (i.e. Correcting the oral resting posture may assist in remediating select speech sounds).

At Speech Without Limits, we believe that family involvement is at the core of all successful therapy, especially for our Early Language Learners. Early intervention is an approach to Language development that targets the birth of three populations to support the development of foundational communication skills.

Parent coaching is a type of speech and language therapy (SLP) that focuses on helping parents understand and support their child's speech and language development. The therapist works with the parents to educate them about their child's specific needs and goals, and provides them with strategies and techniques to use at home to promote their child's development. This may include activities and exercises to do with the child, as well as suggestions for ways to incorporate language-rich experiences into the child's daily routine.
